Mark DadleyChairmanMark holds over 32 years’ experience in the logistics industry, working at DHL, TNT, XP Systems and LYNX Express. At 27 years of age, Mark became the youngest divisional general manager at one of the UK’s largest logistics companies, a few years later he was a Director developing the company’s mainland Europe division from a zero base to in excess of €35m turnover over 5 years. With this track record under his belt, the next obvious move was to run his own business, and so in 2007 he founded BDA together with Matthias Wellbrock. Their vision was to create a totally bespoke and innovative aviation and logistics service that truly meets the clients’ supply chain needs.
For Mark, innovation is all about really listening to what clients want and continually asking how we can do this better. This shines through in every aspect of the business as it continues to move forward.
Kevin TurnerGroup Managing DirectorKevin has worked in logistics for over 25 years, gaining vast industry experience that spans air, road express, and same-day transportation services. His main specialism is in European time critical logistics solutions. At 25 Kevin was XP Systems’ youngest senior manager, leading a team of over 20 sales people across the UK, from here Kevin moved onto a number of director level sales and operational roles at LYNX Express, Securicor and DHL operating in the express and bespoke time critical distribution industry, responsible for product and divisional revenues of up to £40m p.a.
As Group Managing Director at BDA, Kevin heads up all the BDA business activities across our Coventry, Dublin, Frankfurt and Maastricht hubs. Kevin’s role sees him working closely with a range of our multi-national clients, helping them to take an intelligent approach to their supply chains.
In less than 2 years since Kevin joined BDA as Group MD, he and his senior team have grown the business turnover and profits by more than 50% and the growth levels are showing no signs of slowing for 2016.
Introducing a fresh new approach to automotive logistics for a major Japanese car and motorcycle manufacturer in 2014, Kevin sees further client gains in this sector as a major growth area for BDA.
Stephen CaenOperations & IT DirectorThroughout his career, Stephen has held a number of senior management and director level roles in both logistics and automotive software development organisations. Having gained considerable experience in both the public and private sector, Stephen has a successful track record of delivering large scale and complex programmes.
Since joining BDA in 2014 as our IT director, Stephen is able to use all of his extensive IT experience within the warehousing, distribution and logistics arena on the development and deployment of new and innovative IT systems that will both further supplement the logistics capabilities of BDA, as well as increasing and enhancing client experience.
Alison BrindleyHR DirectorHaving started her career over 25 years ago, Alison has extensive logistics industry experience, specialising in early morning, next day, and through-the-night delivery services. Since starting her career in the logistics industry Alison, has held a number of management roles, including marketing manager at LYNX Express.
Alison has been with BDA for over 7 years now and has implemented ISO:9001 and regulated shipping agent status in the UK business, she now holds the position of Quality and Compliance Director, a role which sees her build on her passion for working closely with our clients and ensuring all of BDA’s specialist quality accreditations and services are maintained to the highest standards.
Steve CourtDevelopment Director UK & IrelandSteve started his career nearly 20 years ago in DHL Exel Supply Chain. Throughout his career, Steve has gained a wealth of experience in the ‘just-in-time’ automotive supply chain and through-the-night logistics sector with a special focus on servicing the field engineer and spare parts distribution markets.
Steve joined BDA in 2011 and has gained and implemented both domestic and mainland Europe originating clients from several industry sectors, utilising his wide logistics industry knowledge he continues to design and offer innovative solutions for new clients especially in the automotive, agricultural and medical equipment industry sectors.

Yvonne BoagEuropean Aviation Director Yvonne holds over 30 years’ experience in the aviation industry. Having originally started in a secretarial role, Yvonne quickly became hooked on aviation, which saw her take on a role managing an air operator company.
Throughout Yvonne’s career she has gained extensive experience in effectively managing flight operations, aircraft maintenance, dispatch, flight training, aviation legislation, and transport and logistics.
As our European Aviation Director based in Frankfurt, Yvonne heads up BDA’s freight airline, from freight planning and flight operations to maintenance. Yvonne is also responsible for ensuring we maintain our own Airline’s Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and for the Frankfurt hub and daily operations throughout Germany.
Yvonne’s attention to detail and client service focus has led her to manage the operations provided for some of the same major multi-nationals for more than 20 years now.
Matthias WellbrockDevelopment Director GermanyHaving studied logistics in Bremen and co-authored an industry book Matthias holds a wealth of experience and knowledge of the express logistics business from the last 25 years working with some of the world’s largest logistics companies, including TNT and LYNX Express. Matthias’ passion for the logistics sector has seen him work internationally and hold a variety of senior management roles in Germany.
As Development Director for BDA Germany, Matthias, who is based in Frankfurt, works closely with a range of multi-national organisations helping them to take a uniquely intelligent approach to their supply chains, specialising in providing bespoke solutions from mainland Europe into the UK and Ireland.
Matthias co-founded BDA in 2007, together with Mark Dadley. BDA was born from the pair’s shared vision to combine both their independent knowledge and experiences to create a dynamic and innovative company; a market leader in its chosen sectors.

Val KarrenOperations Director BeneluxBased in the Netherlands, Val has had a career in the freight forwarding and airfreight industry for over 15 years, working in a number of global supply chain operations. Since starting out with Expeditors International in Seattle, USA, Val has gone on to undertake a number of senior management roles across Europe. Prior to working with BDA, Val worked on the commercial development of Maastricht Airport's cargo products.
Val joined BDA in 2015 as our Maastricht Operations Director, a role which sees him responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our bespoke solutions from mainland Europe, connecting daily from Germany, Benelux and France with our own freight only aircraft and daily road line-hauls in and out of the UK and Ireland.
Val is already finalising plans to expand BDA’s operation into larger premises at the beginning of 2016 to coincide with several new clients starting to use BDA in the new year.

Alice KellyFinance DirectorAlice is a Qualified Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience managing busy finance teams in the retail and leisure sectors. She started her career in an accountancy firm in Dublin, before moving to London in the early 90s where she successfully managed teams in a number of different organisations.
As the company continues to grow at a rate of over 25% year on year, Alice is using her Finance experience to guide the company through this growth phase. She provides financial advice and guidance to managers to enable them to achieve their objectives while developing and maintaining all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company.
